A Few Days 03:53
I hear your voice on the telephone line Your body’s there on the other side It’s gonna be a few days till I see you It’s gonna be a few days Counting the cars in the afternoon traffic I left early and still I can’t hack it It’s gonna be a few days till I get home It’s gonna be a few days And I don’t know what I’ll say when I get there And I don’t know if you’ll be happy I’m home All I know is it won’t be today Won’t be today I see your name on the email chain Wonder how we let things get this way It’s gonna be a few days, till I see you It’s gonna be a few days I see your face when I get off the plane Been so long but you still look the same It’s gonna be a few days till I’m leaving It’s gonna be a few days

Save For Two 03:14
Nothing around but streetlights Floating in the rain Walking down the middle Of the road Nothing around but moonbeams Carry me away Left behind the drizzle Falling slow And there I was Here I am Not a soul Save for one Just stop for a moment Nothing ever does But I'm above the world With nothing to outrun Something about tonight Can't put my finger on Never did seem to have the words Something about this time We've been passing on Can't keep waiting anymore And there you were There you are I never saw a soul Save for one Just stop for a moment Nothing ever does But you're above the world With nothing to outrun And there we were Here we are Not a soul Save for two Just us for the moment Above the world Not a soul Save for two

22 Candles 03:01
Mama don't play these games with me 'Cause I know where I wanna be In your arms tonight Mama don't play these games no more I know what I'm fighting for In your arms tonight Baby, hold me close Maybe I'll love you most There's 22 candles on your cake It took me eight hours to bake That's a lot of time to bake a cake But there's 22 candles on your cake Imagine when you turn 85 I'll bake you a cake when if I'm still alive It might take me 14 hours to bake But they'll be 85 candles on your cake Baby, hold me close Maybe I'll love you most

Waiting tables in New York Biding time with busy work You caught my eye with that smirk And then you said "Hello" And for the whole month of May We loved each other every day I didn't know you couldn't stay That one day you would go Looking 'round, looking 'round Talk to everyone in town Looking 'round, looking 'round Darling where you been? Where'd you go, where'd you go Tell me why you left me low Where'd you go, where'd you go When you coming back? I'll keep looking 'round Do you remember walking down the high line overlooking town Oh you were shining in that gown, A smile in your eyes If I could go back that night, arm and arm among the lights I'd stop my watch It'd be alright, never say "good bye" Looking 'round, looking 'round Talk to everyone in town Looking 'round, looking 'round Darling where you been? Where'd you go, where'd you go Tell me why you left me low Where'd you go, where'd you go When you coming back? I'll keep looking 'round Come on, come on back Back here, back on track Come on, come on back Come on, come here, come on Looking 'round, looking 'round Talk to everyone in town Looking 'round, looking 'round Darling where you been? Where'd you go, where'd you go Tell me why you left me low Where'd you go, where'd you go When you coming back? I'll keep looking 'round When you coming back? I'll keep looking round

Here and Now 04:42
I'm headed over mountains Over skies dark and gray Headed down the coast I've been counting down the days Been a couple months, been too long Losing my peace of mind As long as you're there Well, I'll be just fine Take me away, Take me away Take my hand and run I can't help, can't help my self When it comes to you I'm done Call me away, call me away Raise you're voice out loud I can't help can't help myself You're here and you're now I'm headed over river Left behind the hurry Just can;t seem to catch my breath Been caught up in my worries Gotta get going, gotta get there Gotta walk out the door I know it's all waiting back home for me Well, it can wait some more Take me away, Take me away Take my hand and run I can't help, can't help my self When it comes to you I'm done for Call me away, call me away Raise you're voice out loud I can't help can't help myself You're here and you're now

I don’t know where I’m going I don’t know where I’ve been I don’t know where you are tonight Are you out with your lover Or is he just a friend? Hey mama, where are you tonight? I used to say love is just a game we’re playing What you’re doing now, and what I’m doing now I see it’s not the same Met you in Copenhagen Had dinner at Relae I don’t know where you are tonight Are you in Old Pamplona, Sevilla, or Bombay? Hey mama, where are you tonight? I used to say love is just a game we’re playing What you’re doing now, and what I’m doing now I see it’s not the same Now I’m in The New Rockwells And we’re out on the road I don’t know where you are tonight Will I pass you on the highway? Will you be at tonight’s show? Hey mama, where are you tonight?

about

The New Rockwells is the lovechild of folk-rocker Marty Boyle and jazzman Ben Muller. This barnstorming duo performs a brand a rock that is at times gentle, folksy and irreverant but always grooving. Marty and Ben crossed paths one night at Amherst College’s Marsh Coffee Haus. Blown away by the other’s performance, they began to collaborate - first on Marty’s debut solo album and then as The New Rockwells.

Live from Carnegie Hall is the opening salvo of that partnership forged years ago. The boys have curated a collection of songs sure to delight fans and intrigue newcomers. TNR classics (“Where Are You Tonight?”, “Lookin’ ‘Round”) have been reimagined, concert favorites (“A Few Days”, “Never Let You Go”) have been given the studio-treatment, and new creations (“Here and Now”, “Save for Two”) confidently claim their place.
